It first made its debut in Katy Perry’s “Teenage Dream” collection with OPI. When beauty goers flipped over the Black Shatter shade, new shatter colors were added to collections including Serena Williams’ Glam Slam collection and The Pirates of the Caribbean collection. Now the shatter polish comes in a variety of shades and the color combinations are endless. Most salons even carry this product.

How does it work? Simply paint your nails a base coat of your choosing, let it dry, apply the shatter polish, and in seconds you’ll see the crackle effect take place. Make sure you press somewhat hard and have a decent amount of polish on the brush to ensure the best overall results. And don’t over coat! One full coat is all it takes – too many layers will make it harder for the product to separate.
