3 Quick and Cute Hairstyles for Summer

Who doesn’t want cute hair?!

Summer is all about fun and freedom…the last thing you need to be worrying about is your hair. What’s a girl to do when it’s 90+ degrees out, the wind is blowing like crazy, or it starts to rain? Be prepared with the cute, fun, and quick hairstyles for summer that will withstand anything Mother Nature throws your way.

Headband with Waves

There are so many cute headbands these days: from hippie-style headbands to the newest sailor-knot trend, there are so many headbands that not only look ultra cute, but are incredibly functional and will help keep your hair in place. When you wake up in the morning, curl your hair and then run your fingers through the curls when you’re finished. Spray your hair with hair spray then throw a headband on. Your hair will stay out of your face when it’s really hot out and your waves should last.

French Braid

If you wear your hair straight a lot, then switching it up with a French braid at your hairline is sure to make you look cute and even score you a few compliments. Part your hair to the side, then make a small French braid across your hairline and secure with a bobby pin so it won’t come out. This look is great for going swimming or working out.

Wavy Braid Out

This hairstyle is funky yet super cute. After you wash your hair, divide your hair into several sections. Braid the sections individually and secure the ends with hair ties. Make sure to blow dry your hair completely before you take it out. Once your hair is dried, leave the braids in for a few hours – I suggest two to four. Take the braid out and run your fingers through them with some anti-frizz spray or cream. Your hair will be wavy and soft and should last a couple of days at the most. This hairstyle works great for curly-haired girls.

  1. I have a coworker who does the french braid at the hairline, and it always looks SO CUTE. I'm definitely going to try it.
