Organize Your Life! End-of-Summer Edition

Change is a good thing!

We all love the idea of a fresh start, and the end of summer is a perfect time to do that! Take some time during these last few weeks before the school year to re-organize your life. You’ll feel completely rejuvenated and stress-free just in time for school to start.

Improve Your iTunes Library
This is something I like to do periodically throughout the year. Now is the perfect time to purge all of those cheesy songs you always skip when your iPod is on shuffle. And the ones that remind you of your ex-boyfriend.

Edit Your ‘My Documents’
Before I go back to school, I like to create a new folder for the semester (Fall ’11) and new subfolders for each class that I’m taking. I like to put a digital copy of class syllabi in these folders, along with class notes. If you don’t take notes on your laptop, this step may be less useful for you.

Clean Out Your Phone’s Contacts
This is definitely a good way to start off the school year. You know that cute boy you met on the beach that one day several months ago whom you never talked to again? You’re probably never going to call him, so he doesn’t need to be in your phone. You’ll also be surprised with how many random strangers you have programmed in that cell of yours as a result of group projects, etc.

Renew Your Wardrobe

See what I did there? I saved the most enjoyable task for last! Everyone should make an end-of-summer trip to Goodwill to donate clothes, purses, and accessories that aren’t being used anymore. Then, of course, a trip to the mall, to buy new clothes, purses, and accessories.
